Orders
After placing an order, an acknowledgement email will be sent to you, confirming details of your booking.
For Jewellery and Memorials, we require full payment at time of booking
For Wedding flower preservation;
-
We require a non-refundable £50 deposit to book your ‘drying space’ in the calendar.
-
We will then require 50% of the total cost prior to us receiving and drying your flowers, and an idea of what items you would like your flowers preserving into.
-
Any delays in confirming your final decision or in settling the required payment may result in an extended wait time for receiving your finished flower preservation as we may need to move your booking to the next available slot.
-
Once we receive your flowers, we will discuss the items you would like your precious flowers preserving into.
-
Once your flowers are fully dry (around 6-12 weeks depending on the flowers), we will contact you with an update and a more accurate timescale for completion.
-
At this point we will require the balance less the deposit.
Completion Dates
We will give approximate expectation of completion times and will keep you updated if these change.
We aim to complete your items within 6-8 weeks for jewellery and memorials, and up to 20 weeks from any item requiring flower preservation. This timeframe is from when we receive confirmation of design, any inclusions, flowers (see above), and payment due from you, but most pieces are made well within this timeframe. This is to allow for flower drying time, ordering of any supplies, weather (temperature can greatly affect the quality of the resin, therefore we may delay pouring until conditions improve), bank holidays, or any other reasonable issue outside of our control.
Solid 9k gold and other speciality items which are made to order from suppliers may take longer than the 8 weeks but we will let you know.
Availability
All items are subject to availability of stock.
Once we have placed an order with a manufacturer, we are unable to cancel or refund your order.
Prices may change at any time, due to the changing nature of precious metal prices.
We will advise you of any changes in price or if items are no longer available. This can change without us being notified prior to your booking being made.
Chains
If stated, a standard chain or cord is included in your purchase price. If you prefer an
alternative chain/size, we can advise of availability and any additional costs at time of booking.
Prices
Prices are exclusive of delivery costs, these will be added to the final amount and will depend on the value and weight of your final order. Items will be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, this service requires a signature.
We endeavour to keep our prices up to date on the website, but despite our best efforts, errors can occur. The prices on your confirmation will be the final price you pay.
Payment
We accept payment by bank transfer; details will be given on your confirmation email. Payment is required at the time of booking.
Delivery
We can only accept bookings made from the UK and delivered in the UK.
We will give guidelines of delivery dates but cannot be held responsible for delays caused by delivery couriers or other matters outside of our control.
Due to the sentimental nature of these items, we recommend you send your precious items to us special delivery – it is important you agree a date with us prior to sending your parcel.
In the event of a non-delivery a card should be left, but we cannot guarantee this, so please contact the delivery company in the first instance, to arrange an alternative delivery date.
We take postal fraud and theft seriously and will notify the police if required.
Returns, Replacements and Refunds

Since all of our pieces are custom-made with inclusions and or flowers which are personal to you, we can only offer exchanges or refunds if a) the product does not match your order (please be aware these are one of a kind, so items will have artistic license) or b) the product is faulty.
If there is a fault, we will replace or refund it. Please note that we document the process to maintain quality and to minimise the risk a fault may occur.
If a replacement or refund is agreed, we will refund shipping costs (we recommend Royal Mail special delivery and costs are to be agreed prior to sending) if necessary. We will require all faulty pieces (with additional purchases for example, we require the chain and the pendant even if 1 part is faulty, if not only a partial refund can be considered) to be returned to us prior to refund or replacement.
Please reach out within 3 days of receipt of your order.
We provide care guidelines for our jewellery and resin items, please note that we do not refund or replace items due to wear and tear, as some pieces are intended for occasional wear.
Deposits are non-refundable.

Colours
Colours shown are for guidance only. As bespoke, made to order, handmade products the colours can vary somewhat.
If you have a specific colour you would like incorporated in your piece, we will endeavour to source a colour as close as we can, but it may not be exact.
The colour of your loved one's ashes may appear lighter or darker depending on the chosen hue, so it's important to keep this in mind before making purchase. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out for a discussion before buying. Please note that since each piece is handcrafted, some minor imperfections and bubbles may occur.
Specific Flower Characteristics
Nearly all flowers will undergo some colour change during the drying process, typically becoming darker. This is a natural part of the preservation process. Sometimes taking on a vintage feel. Some flowers’ colours may seem to disappear in resin or have translucent spots. White flowers, for example, may take on a cream, yellow or translucent colour. Please discuss with us any questions you have regarding this.
Potential Flower Changes. When resin is added, flowers may experience slight colour changes, bruising may become more apparent on petals, and darker or brown areas may become more noticeable. Additionally, the shape of flowers may alter slightly during the preservation process.
Whilst we will advise where possible, these issues cannot be predicted or prevented.
Handmade Nature of Products
Handmade Imperfections: Our items are crafted by hand, which may result in some natural 'imperfections' like micro-bubbles, dust, uneven edges, or small cavities. Although we are skilled and aim for perfection, these distinctive features contribute to the individuality of each piece.
Micro-bubbles: pose a particular risk when working with dried flowers. The petals and structure of the flowers can trap air, which is then released when they are submerged in resin before it fully cures. After adding each resin layer, they are regularly checked to ensure that any bubbles which can be removed are.
Layer Lines: Large or deep pieces may have visible layer lines, this is due to the multiple pouring stages. These lines are a natural part of the handmade process and are an unavoidable feature when working with resin.
Cavities: Small holes, known as cavities, may form during the curing process. While we do everything in our power to prevent them, they sometimes occur and usually appear on the sides or back of items. We do our best to fill any of these, although some cannot be avoided.
Resin Aging: Over time, all resin can develop an amber or yellow hue. However, this ambering process is a natural characteristic of resin and, over time, can give your piece a beautiful, vintage feel.
We use top-quality casting resin that is UV stabilized to minimize yellowing, however, to prolong clarity, it's advisable to keep items away from direct sunlight and heat sources, please read our care guide for advice on looking after your resin pieces.
Minor Breakages: With the handcrafted nature of our products and the incorporation of dried flowers, small breakages may occur when they are submerged in resin. The resin is a liquid and tiny flower fragments may move during the casting process. We take great care to achieve the best possible results with the flowers you provide.
Bulging: Some resin shapes or letters may exhibit a minor bulge, either inwards or outwards, this is influenced by the weight of the resin and the size of the flowers. We do our best to reduce these occurrences, but they can sometimes be unavoidable.
Photos and other Inclusions
Photos: Incorporating a photo into your piece requires mock-up design, printing, and lamination and/or sealing. Occasionally, a small area may not achieve full lamination, which may cause a shadow effect or may affect the appearance of the photo in the resin. This is a rare aspect of the handmade process and is not eligible for a refund.
Charms, Ribbons and Fibrous Materials: Clear or natural Diamanté charms or pins may become less visible in resin because of their transparency. Other metals typically maintain their appearance after being cast in resin. Ribbons and other fibrous material usually darken, resembling the effect of being submerged in water. Some materials are not suitable for resin preservation.
Artificially Coloured Flowers: Artificially coloured flowers are prone to leaking or bleeding into the resin, which can lead to swirls and cloudy spots, as well as the possibility of excess bubbling. This issue cannot be predicted or prevented.
I will seal the flowers with a spray sealant before casting to try to minimize any effect, however, this cannot be guaranteed.

Tealight Holders
Tealight Safety: Our tealight holders are made from resin. Real tealights get very hot, which can damage the resin holders. Therefore, we do not recommend using real tealights in the holders. We supply a battery tealight with every tealight holder.
Disclaimer
Liability: While we take the utmost care in preserving your flowers and creating your resin pieces, The Little Resin Studio cannot be held responsible for any damage, loss, or alteration that occur during shipping or the preservation process. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
