Resin Care Guide

We recognise the significance of your new beautiful item and understand your desire to treasure it many years to come.

Resin is quite durable, but to maximize the lifespan of your pieces, please follow these guidelines. This will help maintain their appearance and prevent need for costly repairs or replacements. While some clients may not follow the instructions and still find their pieces are fine, it's always best to err on the side of caution.

Chemicals - Harsh chemicals found in cleaning products, antibacterial hand santiser, perfume, hairspray, nail polish remover, chlorine, etc., will damage the finish. The finish can easily bend or scratch.
Water - Do not submerge resin in water, it is water resistant not water waterproof. Use a clean microfibre cloth to gently clean your keepsake.
Do not expose your resin to UV rays and UV/LED light boxes as these can damage the finish of resin.
Sunlight - prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause colours to fade and the resin to discolour and soften.
Temperature Changes - Large fluctuations in temperature may cause the piece to expand and contract, causing elements to separate.
Scrapes - Try to avoid scratching and bumping your resin keepsake as this may cause damage.
Smoking - With prolonged exposure, the resin may discolour.
Naked Flames - Keep resin away from naked flames. Use battery operated tealights instead as resin is not heat resistant.
Not Food Safe - Do not place food directly onto resin. Always use a plate or liner for protection.
